The Role
The work placement was very enjoyable. I had the privilege of having a great team who guided me through the placement. The culture and values of the company and people I met was great, making the placement a very enjoyable one.
I was involved in projects which the team was involved in. As such the work which is did was indeed valuable to the team as it formed part of the active project. Hence I feel that I was valued greatly by my colleagues.
They were of great help whenever i required any form of assistance. Understanding my limitations was critical in getting the job one effectively. With their support and guidance, I was able to develop solutions which were robust and effect to solve the problem at hand.
Careful planning of the project meant that I was always occupied with work. I felt this was great as there was definitely thought put into designing projects for the placement students
I was allowed to tackle my project on my own and create my own solutions to it. Of course, I had to justify the reasons for choosing such a solution. But in general, i was given complete control over my project. And since the project involved doing something which is critical, I would say i was given a lot of responsibility.
The skills which i picked up during the placement will definitely be useful in the future.
The Company
Atmosphere was great. People were friendly and willing to help in case you needed. People were also always willing to share with you whatever they did so that you could understand better how the firm works as a whole.
On the whole the placement was well organised with seamless integration into the team. There were also several activities and training sessions during the course of the internship which was useful.
I believe the firm invested a large amount in the students. We were allowed to attend most training and were exposed to a lot during a placement

I was offered a job with them and Goldman Sachs is definitely an interesting place to work in.
The Culture
We had sessions which were catered to placement students so that we could network and find out more about the different divisions within the firm.
Cost of living is generally high because it is in central london. But the work is great and colleagues head out after work for a great time.
Its central London, lots of that.
We were encouraged to take part in many
