  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt as if I was a valued part of the team. This was massively influenced by giving work that was genuinely useful to the team and my opinion was listened to.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Brilliant support from my manager, I was really impressed with how patiently and empathetically I was dealt with. We were also designated buddies, which greatly enhanced the support on offer.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was a perfect balance of work generally day to day. The workload allowed me enough time to speak to other areas of BlackRock by having 1-2 hours a day in which I could reach out to other departments and gain further exposure. When projects were due in, it did get busy but that was more a lack of time management on my part, but this was something I improved on throughout.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a good deal of responsibility throughout with research projects that needed to be done for the team. Throughout the internship, I was given more and more responsibility.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed during the internship through training and day to day interaction with professionals will prove to be invaluable going forward. From training sessions on public speaking to learning how to behave in the workplace, I learnt a great deal which I'll takeaway from the internship.
