The Role
It was a good experience to be in the professional world and explore new things and ideas.
Every colleagues were friendly, welcoming and ready to help in explaining which helped me to understand the working environment.
Overall, everyone was supportive and my managers were really good at giving instructions and suggestions when required. Support and guidance was given when required. Otherwise, using own innovative ideas was preferred most of the time.
As it is a small sized business workload varied a lot. I was involved in different areas at a single time which made me busy most of the time.
I believe, I had a fair amount of work load given to me as a placement student. I was given the chance to explore about the company as much as possible and understand the working mechanics of the organisation. So, I had a lot of responsibilities but at a more lower level. However, I had opportunities to bring significant changes to the company by suggesting ideas every now and then. for eg. Helped in rebranding of the products
The works were related to my degree as my degree consists of mixture of management and Information technology. The experience I have gained is of great value, this helped me to boost my confidence. Training was on the job. This experience helped me to mind set what to study in my final year.
The Company
It is quiet and consists of a handful of staffs and is the HQ at the UK. It is a multinational company and has different branches around the globe.
It was pretty well organised.
Being a small company, cost effective measures were vital. So, all the development was in house.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
It is a great company to work for as it is revolving around technologies which is evolving every second.
The Culture
Yes, the previous placement students were supportive and helpful.
Did not live there. Commuted from home.
No idea.
Not much to do.
