About Balloon Ventures
Balloon Ventures is an award winning social enterprise that connects young people from around the world (we call them Enterprise Fellows) with budding entrepreneurs from East Africa to imagine, design and launch new businesses that tackle unemployment and improve lives. Our aim is to build a global generation of job creators, rather than job seekers, who believe in defeating poverty and disadvantage through enterprise, not aid.

Balloon ICS Entrepreneur has officially launched! This is a 12 week, UK Government funded programme where you will volunteer in East Africa and work with budding entrepreneurs to develop exciting new business ideas, pitch for investment and launch new enterprises.
The enthusiasm and creativity that you as young people bring is pivotal to the success. We want volunteers who will innovate and inspire entrepreneurs to think differently in what are often risk-averse environments where the market is flooded with copy-cat businesses.
Our programme not only provides the entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills and ideas to develop strong proposals. We also fund the best ideas and through this programme £35,000 will be invested in over 100 entrepreneurs.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the entire business journey in a challenging and exciting culture – defeating poverty through business, not aid. Join teams of 20 young people driving sustainable development. Programmes will take place in January 2015 and April 2015.
There are only 70 funded places available. You must apply by October 13th to be considered for the January 2015 programme!
