Allen & Overy Shearman Brand Ambassador

We are now accepting applications to become the next Allen & Overy Shearman Brand Ambassador! You will be paid £13 per hour for this role. You will be required to work approximately 2 hours per week over a 16 week period starting in mid September 2024 - February 2025.

Responsibilities of an Allen & Overy Shearman Brand Ambassador

  • Work towards objectives and targets set by On-Campus Promotions and A&O Shearman
  • Collaborate with clubs and societies to raise awareness of A&O Shearman
  • Carry out promotional activities on campus to raise awareness of A&O Shearman, such as “Meet the Brand Ambassador” events, lecture shout-outs, event stalls and more
  • Utilise social media channels to share information about A&O Shearman
  • Promote engaging content such as newsletters, reels, and graphics to support the A&O Shearman campaign
  • Gather feedback from students and provide insights and reports to the On-Campus Promotions team

Role Requirements

  • You must be a 2nd or penultimate year student as of September 2024 - we will not be accepting final year applications
  • You must be on track for a 2:1 & have gained AAB or equivalent at A-Level
  • Availability to work 2-3 hours per week both on and off campus from September - February
  • Comfortable working independently, both on campus and on social media
  • Ability to maintain regular communication with your On-Campus Promotions manager via our mobile app
  • Passionate about the law industry and helping others achieve their career goals with A&O Shearman
  • You ideally will be a member of your university Law Society, other society memberships are also preferable
  • You must be confident producing social media content, including short form video content
  • We are especially interested in candidates who understand the significance of DE&I, particularly in engaging with and inspiring commitment from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds
  • You must be able to think outside the box and always seek out new opportunities

Step two: If eligible, you will be invited to complete a content creation task specific to A&O Shearman

Step three: If successful, you will then be asked to create a 2 minute video specific to A&O Shearman's campaign objectives

Step four: What you've been waiting for! Attend a 20 minute virtual interview with OCP & A&O Shearman

The deadline to apply to become an A&O Shearman Brand Ambassador is Wednesday 31st July 2024.

Upon a successful application, you will be invited to the A&O Shearman London office in August for a 2 day training programme. You must be available to attend on the 20th and 21st August 2024.
