The Opportunity 

The Compliance function is an independent area of our financial services business, integral to us meeting our goals, and protecting the reputation of the business as well as the interests of our clients. We ensure effective advisory and controls are always in place to manage our risks, keeping the wider business and our customers safe from areas of risk.

The aim of this year in industry placement is to give an insight into what it is to work closely with an industry leading Compliance function and gain insight to how a financial services business operates and understanding of a financial services risk environment. 

The role entails supporting the Risk and Compliance Team in the delivery of projects to enhance the performance of the function to ensure technical excellence and a practical approach to support the wider growth of the Business. You will learn to master various compliance platforms, screening tools and systems to streamline department workflow. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to work independently and within a team of diverse background, demonstrating initiatives and delivering on various project timelines.

Skills & Experience Required 

• Completing or completion within the previous year of a university degree with evidence of an interest in this career path. 
• Keen interest in anti-money laundering, compliance, and risk within the financial services sector.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Pro-active approach with a mindset of looking for constant improvement in all aspects of their work.
• An ambitious person eager to continually develop their skillset who will embrace the ongoing change within a fast paced, entrepreneurial high growth business.
• The candidate should be able to manage their own workload and understand the importance of prioritisation.
