Your opportunity

Our Technical Safety and System Assurance team is a critical and integral part of our UK and international operations effort. We keep our offshore wind farms operating safely at maximum efficiency, powering hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the UK - skillfully balancing risk and performance across all of our assets and dealing with major technical threats.

We’re a global team so this is a great opportunity to explore different business cultures whilst gaining an in-depth insight into the technical construction of wind farms. We’ll get you involved in all of our core processes, including management of our organisation wide incident reporting tool, developing safe systems of work and understanding HSE management and reporting. 

You’ll get the opportunity to:

  • Assist with asset risk reviews at a number of our operational sites
  • Participate in asset and plant safety incident investigations, undertaking root cause analysis
  • Take the lead on a detailed investigation and risk assessment for a technical risk that has fleet-wide impact
  • Prepare monthly reporting and contribute to the development of new performance indicators and systems
  • Visit our operational sites where you’ll be able to learn from a wide range of operational colleagues, and see the impact of your work.

About you

  • It’s likely you’ll be studying towards a Meng in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering - with an option to undertake a full year in industry placement in your penultimate year. We’re looking for people on track to gain a 2.1 or higher
  • You’re confident in your communicator – both written and verbal – and feel excited about the opportunity to develop stakeholder communication and influencing skills
  • You can demonstrate that you can coordinate your own workload, be highly organised and meet tight deadlines
  • You have a good knowledge of basic Microsoft packages (e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • You like getting into the detail and have a diligent approach to your work
