Commercial Management Graduate Programme

At Mace, we’re global experts in shaping the built environment – helping to lead the way to a more connected, resilient and sustainable world. From development and consultancy, to construction and operations, we connect expertise across the entire property lifecycle to help our clients, people, communities and society achieve more than they believe is possible.

The opportunity

This role starts in early September 2024, and is based in Winchester in the Transport (Highways) sector within our Consult engine.

Roads allow economies to grow and businesses to create new jobs, they connect communities and open up new opportunities. It's no wonder that many countries are looking to build more and better roads, quicker than has been done before. As car ownership continues to rise and cities and towns grow, the pressure being placed on ageing or unsuitable road infrastructure is growing. This means that in many countries infrastructure spend has increased while the demands to speed up delivery of major projects has continued.

We have used our collaborative and innovative approach to deliver some of Europe's largest road schemes, to meet increasing customer and government demands while minimising disruption to commuters. It's also important that the complex web of stakeholders and different interests are carefully managed to find the best solution possible.

In our Consult engine, you’ll be part of a global think tank where innovation and sustainability take the lead. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their individual challenges, lending new ideas and fresh thinking to make strategic decisions and shape project directions. We will follow our clients where they work, often sharing their locations. Whilst we visit projects and sites, Consult is more about delivery of creative solutions than hardhats. If on-site action speaks to you more, our Construct engine might be your scene – check out the hands-on roles we have there, where you’ll be turning plans into reality on the ground.
