Project Management Placement

About this Role

As a Project Management Assistant, you’ll be heavily involved in all aspects of the business including Sales, Customer Service, and Consultancy. Whilst helping with internal and customer projects, you’ll be assisting our Project Delivery team, ensuring their long-term success and engaging in strategic discussions and journey planning. Being at the forefront of our fast-paced Project Delivery team, this role requires an ambitious, customer-focused individual who strives for success in everything they do.

The key focus for these roles is to grow and nurture existing customer relationships to guarantee customer retention. Whether it be managing a project, or consulting with customers during the Onboarding process, you’ll be constantly establishing new relationships and building customer rapport. The role offers you the opportunity to gain a well-rounded set of skills in communicating with our premium customers, as well as developing a rich understanding of business processes.

If you can listen to our customers and help them with various exciting projects to ensure the continued success of their business, then you’re the person we're looking for!

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Project Management – Delivering software solutions is a core part of the business. In this role, you’ll be playing a fundamental role in scoping and documenting requirements to support customer and internal projects. Managing these tasks will require impeccable organisation and time-management skills to ensure you successfully follow desired timescales and internal deadlines. Effectively liaising and co-ordinating with team members across departments and, most importantly, the customer is crucial to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Delivery of Consultancy Services – Partnering with our highly experienced Consultants, Trainers, and Developers, you’ll be part of a team delivering real business benefits to our customers. You’ll assist with tactical customer reviews, ensuring all discussed items are logged and possible projects are tracked from beginning to end.
  • Co-ordinating Resources – Having the right people doing the right work at the right time is a key part of delivering a successful and cost-effective project – right from project inception, through each stage of the project, to final handover. Therefore, communication and co-ordination across all teams is an essential part of the Project Management role.
  • Providing Assistance in Customer Contact – You’ll be assisting with vital administrative functions within the team, including regular customer calls and meetings to ensure the smooth running of customer projects and the team itself. You’ll also help with managing and actioning feedback from customers to improve customer relationships.
  • Working as a Team – Serving as a primary point of contact for the Project Delivery team means you’ll always be busy with tasks to complete. Working as part of the Premium Services team, you can expect to help customers and support your colleagues, gaining valuable collaboration skills along the way.
  • Building Customer Rapport – Each element of the role is strongly focused on communicating with our customer base. Having the ability to build relationships and trust with customers is a vital skill that you’ll adopt.
  • Customer Service – At ProspectSoft, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and every member of staff contributes to this. This involves providing timely answers using the product knowledge you learn in training and on the job to our premium customers in a professional manner.
  • Business Development – A key part of this role is to be able to identify business development opportunities that would add further value to the customer’s solution. Whilst assisting with projects assigned by customers, you’ll help to improve their experience with the system so they can wholly benefit from its features.
  • Software Demonstrations – As the year progresses, you’ll confidently demonstrate our software to customers. To persuasively deliver high quality demonstrations, it’s essential to understand customer requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Exceptional time management & organisation skills
  • Some experience in a previous customer-facing role
  • Be able to work independently
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Excellent IT systems knowledge (including email, Excel, Office etc.)
  • Good technical acumen and willingness to learn
  • Understanding of databases, SQL and APIs (not essential, but beneficial)
  • Motivated by targets & deadlines
  • Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service
  • Great attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic approach & positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but won’t have graduated at the start of your placement
