Role Overview

The HR team at Collins Aerospace requires that you help create a culture which encourages teamwork and ownership of the business results. 

We are looking for a talented individual who shares a passion for Human Resources to join our UK Actuation HR team. This is a great opportunity to broaden your personal development, experience exciting challenges and build the foundations of your career in HR.

You will have the opportunity to build a deep knowledge of business imperatives and operational issues, as well as the opportunity to fully participate in the business. The HR function work closely with all areas of the business to deliver our strategic people priorities with solutions that are linked directly to aerospace leadership using best-in-class HR practices.

The challenges start on day one, as you share responsibility for major business decisions. We are proud of our long standing tradition of developing talent, and investing great energy in developing top class professionals who can operate effectively across our diverse workforce.

Upon joining our team your typical responsibilities might include:

  • Operational HR - Operating as an integral member of the HR team, supporting our HR Business Partners, leaders and employees with a wide variety of critical HR activities.
  • Data Analytics - Ownership of key data deliverables, supporting with headcount forecasting, and the production of key metrics that demonstrate the HR value proposition to the business.
  • Communications and Employee Engagement - Support a wide range of communication and employee engagement activities that range from maintaining our employee app to organising employee events
  • Employee Relations - Support our Employee Relations Partners where required to continue our journey to ensure an engaged, empowered and accountable workforce
  • Learning and Development - Help to drive organisational effectiveness through supporting with the planning and delivery of training initiatives and talent development strategies
  • Project Management - Proactively support and engage with a wide variety of HR projects in support of our HR transformation journey and process excellence

Job Holder Requirements:

A current undergraduate studying a degree relating to the Human Resources function (HR, Business Management, Psychology, Sociology) who has a genuine interest in growing their career within Human Resources.

You will be able to demonstrate:

IMPORTANT: Candidates must be able to commit to the full 12 month placement (apart from the 25 days annual holiday).
