LOCATION: Milton Keynes

CLOSING DATE: 4th December 2023

SALARY: £20,000, 27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, loan car scheme, pension and a discretionary bonus. 

CONTRACT: June 2024 - June 2025

We have 4 placements within this area that give you the opportunity to support and assist the Sales team within the Fleet Department, in driving retailer performance. Central Sales Executive 

Our Fleet department manages our Business-to-Business (B2B) Customer Portfolio. This portfolio consists of companies leasing our vehicles for business purposes that have fleet sizes of 5-50 vehicles. We manage all aspects of their contracts, from ordering the car, renewing existing cars lease agreements, in-life queries until they return the vehicles at the end of the contract. Our expertise and knowledge means we can help our customers find the right solutions for their fleet of vehicles. We are one of the UKs largest leasing companies with a stated ambition for further growth.

This placement will give you the opportunity to work with our Volkswagen Group brands and with all car manufacturers in the industry, attending car events, exhibitions and get involved in other projects around the business. Your main responsibility is to support the Sales team to achieve their sales targets and to provide an excellent service to our customers and the dealer network. You will be able to liaise with stakeholders across the business and come away from your placement year with an invaluable understanding of a fast moving sales environment, key for anyone looking to secure a career in a global organisation in the future.

Here’s a few words from our current Central Sales Executive undergraduate Abi “I have organised a ride and drive event - Mercedes representatives came into our offices and held a coffee morning to create a better understanding of Multi-marque vehicles which we supply. We were able to network and had the opportunity to drive their vehicles and understand more about alternative products provided by VWFS Fleet. I am also a part of the sustainability podcast team which is set to begin soon!

Internal Account Manager 

You will provide support to Internal Account Managers & the Field Sales team, and be a point of contact for day to day customer enquiries. Supporting with bids, tenders and vehicle quotations, handling inbound customer enquiries, having accountability for completing customer led activities, escalation of issues to relevant senior stakeholders and other administrative tasks. All to help ensure VWFS Fleet retain and grow the business. You will do this by delivering an excellent customer experience. 

Being in the role of Internal Account manager is more than just handling documents and supporting the team. This placement year is sure to give you a broad and in-depth understanding as to how our Fleet Business is run and provide you with the opportunity to start building a business network. You will have the opportunity to liaise and build relationships with our suppliers, customers and manufacturers.

Here’s a few words from our current Internal Account Manager Undergraduate Luke “We have had the opportunity to host other brands outside of the VW Group and present their new models to the wider business. In the span of just 5 months we have had over 10 different new models onsite to present. Including the KIA EV6 and the Polestar 2.

What to expect from the assessment process:

You will then be invited to complete an online video interview where you have the opportunity to tell us about you and your amazing qualities. 

If you are successful after completing your video interview, you will be invited to attend an assessment centre at our Milton Keynes offices. Here, you will complete a Competency Based Interview, deliver a Presentation and take part in a Group Exercise. We’ll provide you with appropriate support and guidance before you attend.
