Data Consultant Placement
The Advanced Customer Services (ACS) organisation within Oracle is looking for interns to join and collaborate the UK team. We are looking for students who have an interest in projects related to modernsation and automatisation of tools. You will wotk within the Cloud Platform which is part of an EMEA strcuture (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
What You’ll Do
Join a fun and flexible workplace where you’ll enhance your skills and build a solid professional foundation. As a Data Consultant you will:
- Automate some recurring services using tools such as APEX, industrialise qualification criteria used to estimate the number of days needed to deliver some activities such as Engineered Systems patching.
- Organise / create a documentary repository: Consolidate source of knowledge and tools for experts within Confluence (wiki like) in collaboration with the community of Advanced Services Engineer within the Cloud Platform team and the Technical Account Managers.
- Help to create and centralise technical documents used by and for the community of Oracle Database experts and Engineered Systems.
- Assist to modernisation of Oracle Database Performance analysis tool (developed in Python and hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
Required Skills/Experience

- Energetic, articulate and motivated students on course for a 2:1 degree or higher with the right attitude and aptitude to succeed in a fast-paced business.
- Computer Science or related degree discipline.
- Programming language : Python. HTML/JavaScript/JQuery would be a plus.
- Technical skills : Linux and Shell (Bash) and usual commands would be a plus.
- Good understanding of Confluence a plus.
- Good knowledge of pack office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self motivated and resourceful, with adaptability and agility to discover new tools and interact with various colleagues and contact points.
- Ability (taste for) and will to work in a team and face challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
