Internal Communications Coordinator

Job Purpose:

The Internal Communications Coordinator will be the support to the Internal Communications Manager UK&I. You will provide vital internal communications support to ensure the creation and maintenance of on-brand creative, engaging and tracked internal communications for our UK&I organisation. You will contribute to the implementation of our Internal Communications strategy and objectives, through your detailed, methodical work, always applying an industry best practise methodology.

You will oversee the implementation of internal communications campaigns. This will involve creating a consistent and authentic tone of voice for internal communications, ensuring that strategic messaging is issued through the appropriate channels in a timely way and engaging Tech Data colleagues through effective storytelling.

You will be reporting to the Internal Communications Manager UK&I within the wider Human Resources team.

Accountabilities:

Weekly & Ad-Hoc Internal Communications

  • Assist in the creation of relevant, timely internal communications articles and announcements.
  • Raise the profile of Tech Data’s “Great Place To Work” strategy
  • Create and prepare Internal Communications reports, undertaking analysis to provide informative data
  • To deliver the internal communications on major projects and initiatives
  • tranet:
  • Take responsibility for making updates to various Intranet pages and ensure it is fully brand-compliant.
  • Make creative suggestions on how to keep our Intranet engaging

Company Meetings and Events

Support the Internal Communications Manager UK&I in the delivery of a number of internal communication events such as:

  • Annual Kick-Off events
  • Christmas Parties

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Working towards a Communications or related degree with a genuine interest in employee engagement and internal communications.
  • High level of creative writing skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Video production experience or keen interest to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
  • Ability to form effective working relationships at all levels.
