People Services Project Support Placement

Current degree requirements:

  • Studying for a HR degree, IT or business degree.
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
  • Academic grades on track for a First or High 2:1 on their chosen studies

Brief description of department:

You will be part of the People Services team based in Warwick. The People Services team provides Recruitment, HR Administration and Payroll services for multiple brands in the Volvo Group including; Volvo and Renault Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Financial Services and Group functions.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking individual to join the People Services team based at Warwick. Working alongside the UK Project Lead, as part of a global project you will support with the delivery of a new HR system to the UK. The new system will modernise ways of working and futureproof all HR processes whilst enhancing the moments that matter across the employee lifecycle.

In addition, you will gain exposure to the daily deliverables of the People Services team and will support with recruitment administration, producing contracts, processing new starters and leavers, dealing with pay and other benefits queries. This is a fast paced environment where you will also be liaising with HR Business Partners, Managers and Employees both within Warwick
head office and across the Dealer network.

  • Have a keen interest in HR
  • High level of computer literacy, including all standard Microsoft packages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels
  • Comfortable working with confidential information where integrity is key
  • Capable of prioritising, planning and organising work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to present ideas in a logical & practical manner
