Customer Engagement Placement

The Customer Engagement team work with some of the most recognisable automotive brands in the UK - Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini to deliver communications, retailer initiatives and insight which add value to both our customers and our business.

As a Customer Engagement Undergraduate you will have responsibility for initiatives across the whole customer journey, from the development of new content to customer relationship management (CRM) campaigns and lead management systems. With a focus on delivery you will be exposed to stakeholders across the business and external agencies giving you a wide range of experience.

You will be able to focus on customer retention and customer loyalty but will also have the opportunity to specialise in different projects depending on the specific skills you bring to the role. You will be able to review and have input as to how we communicate with our customers through a variety of different channels such as: Emails, Direct Mail and SMS. In the Customer Engagement team we champion customer experience across the business to ensure that we are always putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. This placement can be adapted to suit those with a more creative flare or if numbers, organising and analysis is more your thing we can certainly make it suit you too.

This is what you could be doing:

  • Project manage and deliver key initiatives which you will design, build and set live from inception to delivery
  • Create and evaluate engaging reports to determine the success of activities and where improvements can be made
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quarterly updates of retailer facing renewal software
  • Work closely with the wider Customer Engagement team to further understand customer behaviours, motivations and expectations throughout the customer journey
  • Possess and develop knowledge of digital advancements and emerging technology and share with the wider team
  • Support wider team with reviewing, proofing and delivery of key CRM communications within our customer contact programmes.
  • Working with creative and data agencies to deliver customer facing CRM email campaigns to support business initiatives

  • Aligned to key customer experience initiatives, from research and insight while supporting the wider team in both internal and external activities within the Marketing Innovation department

About you:

  • Studying towards a Marketing related degree desirable
  • Credible and confident to be able to communicate at all levels across the business
  • Flexible and adaptable to change particularly in a home working environment
  • Proactive approach to tasks and ability to take own initiative
  • A passion for customer centricity
  • Not afraid to challenge and question – a curious nature
  • Effective management of stakeholders and supplier relationships
