What would I be doing as a Product Management Placement?
Product Management is an emerging discipline whose aim is to ensure the company’s product team operates as effectively as possible. As a Product Management specialist, your role will be critical to ensuring the implementation, standardisation, and improvement of processes within the Product Management team to enable cross-functional success and communication.
You will be responsible for helping product management make more reliable decisions by equipping them with relevant data.
You will also gain exposure to industry standard tools, software and services.
Egress are looking for a talented, innovative student who is interested in technology to join our Product Management team. You will work closely with our product managers and other key stakeholders from around the business.
The role will involve the following:
- Working with engineering and business systems stakeholders to analyse data and gain actionable insights for the Product Management team.
- Owning and managing the flow of information from Product Management to the rest of the business and to customers.
- Managing a regular cadence of product roadmap communication to the business.
- Optimising product team processes and tools to ensure consistency and value.
- Researching and organizing information on product management best practice.
- Supporting and assisting the wider product management team.
- Working on strategic programmes set by management.

You’ll need a strong passion for technology, an analytical mind. Being a team player is key, as you’ll be working with lots of colleagues across technology to bring solutions to life. Great communication skills are essential in order to gain support for your ideas and understand the wider business context.
Role Requirements:
- Second Year Undergraduate Student at a UK-based University, predicted a 2:1 or above in an IT/Computer Science with business related degree
The placement would suit a person who is a:
- Strong communicator, verbally and visually with superb interpersonal skills
- Excellent listening and discovery-process skills
- Strategic thinker
- Decisive with a can-do attitude
- Able to prioritise and execute well under pressure
- An aptitude for understanding IT systems
- Detail oriented
- Some exposure to IT security/encryption solutions (desirable, but not essential)
