Research & Development Engineering Placement
The Pilot Plant Team are responsible for developing new process test equipment to deliver innovation and growth across all JDE manufacturing locations.
The Pilot Plant is a large automated facility with a broad range of equipment for roast coffee, instant coffee, capsules, dairy and liquids processing.
The role is ideally suited to a Chemical Engineer and includes an excellent mix of practical work, operation of process equipment as well as design and purchasing of new equipment.
Process design and detailed engineering of new pilot plant equipment & processes. Responsible for safe process design and compliance with best engineering practice. Meets suppliers, creates tender packages for installation works and evaluates tender returns. Responsible for Site Acceptance Testing, training and final documentation, project costings and capital expenditure requests. Supports Pilot Plant trials, operating allocated unit processes to meet trial objectives.
R&D Roasting Fundamentals - Banbury:
This placement sits in Research and Development, and within the Pilot Plant Team. The main focus of the placement is to help build the fundamental understanding of coffee roasting, with an emphasis on yield, aroma and flavor improvements.
Evaluation of new technologies and applying strategies for moving newly formed scientific knowledge into applications for consumer benefits.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in a clear efficient manner creating clarity and understanding.
- Ability to project manage.
- You should be working towards a Chemical Engineering or similar Degree
