At Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains we are responsible for the design, manufacture, testing and racing of the World Championship winning Formula 1 hybrid power unit and the World Championship winning Formula E powertrain used by the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team, Mercedes-EQ Formula E team, Aston Martin Cognizant Formula 1 team, McLaren Formula 1 team, Williams Racing Formula 1 team and the Rokit Venturi Racing Formula E team. We also utilise our expertise in a number of hybrid and vehicle electrification projects in collaboration with Daimler AG, namely the Mercedes-AMG Project One hybrid Hypercar and Vision EQxx.

As a team we are responsible for supporting the entire business, ensuring our processes are not only fit for purpose but are continuously improved and controlled. We’re responsible for the maintenance and achievement of our four ISO registrations in Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Energy. Using defined continuous improvement methodology and the philosophy of the ISO standards, we will help the company implement value added improvements whilst ensuring each business unit remains compliant to our Integrated Management System (IMS).

You will have ownership of the IMS ensuring it reflects actual process, remains relevant and adds value to each business unit. This will engage you in every element in the maintenance of our ISO registrations, from supporting the 3rd party audits conducted by our certification body, to advising and supporting our many different stakeholders across the company. You will assist the company and Senior Management Team with the collation of data which will be centric to project delivery and achievement of company objectives & targets. You will play an integral part in the continuous improvement of our processes and how we work.

What development can you expect?

You will have exposure to all business units within the company, from Finance to Manufacturing to Trackside Operations. You will be expected to troubleshoot, propose and deliver value added improvement projects within demanding deadlines. You will be expected to keep abreast of changes in the ISO standards to which the company is registered, ensuring our compliance.

What are we looking for?

  • A proven academic record with expected 2:1 or above in a relevant degree, for example, Business Management/ & Administration.
  • You will have a collaborative style, which will enable you to effectively challenge convention, offering solutions that are resourceful and appropriate.
  • You will understand the necessity of the IMS and pride yourself on the projects you deliver, ensuring that every detail is considered and presented in a methodical, conscientious and professional manner.
  • You will be team orientated, organised with the ability to deliver within strict and conflicting deadlines.
  • You will be enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for what we do.
  • People who are willing to go the extra mile to help the team succeed and deliver results.
