Job description:

RingCentral is looking for a Bid Manager Intern that will thrive in a fast-paced, cutting-edge, technology-driven environment.

The UK’s growth ambition will see a significant increase in opportunities arising from Public Sector and Large Enterprise. The majority of these opportunities will be subject to a competitive procurement process, encompassing Request For Information (soft market testing), Request For Proposal and Invitation to Tenders.

To support this increase, the UK team has identified that a local in-country bid manager, combined with aligned remote bid administration (MNL) is required.

This role will serve as the lead for proposal opportunities in this category and have a cradle-to-grave approach as needed, e.g. from initial identification via portals, through response submission, to authoring bid presentation slide decks. The in-country role will be the project manager for opportunities and will work closely with the remote bid resource, to service key stakeholders across the business

Responsibilities:

• Administer RC presence on procurement portals and search for relevant RFP/Tender requests
• Manage assigned proposals from start to finish, within the proposal methodology
• Work with Account Executives and bid administration to qualify and respond to bids
• Serve as editor and writer (with bid administration) ensuring consistent voice and appropriate tone in proposals
• Articulate, in writing, key points of strategic differentiation and value proposition design
• Co-develop a thoughtful approach and develop responses/key messages that convey the value proposition for each opportunity
• Develop customized proposals that demonstrate understanding of target’s needs, either by request or in response to RFP, ensuring we are maximising scores and answering the questions posed
• Plan bid presentations discussion and strategy
• Develop templates, tools, and best practices
• Collate data on price submissions wins/losses

Qualifications:

• You need to be currently studying a business-related degree
• Your studies allow for a work placement as part of your degree
• On target for a grade of 2:1 or higher
• Placement runs July 2022 – August 2023
