We’re changing up the future

We’re on a mission to build the UK’s finest digital infrastructure and unleash Britain’s potential. We’re connecting communities, boosting businesses, and giving everyone access to superfast broadband. We’re also changing up the industry - we might be growing fast but we still behave like a start-up, with an open and inclusive environment where people can be themselves, speak up and make time for what matters.

What’s in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on and deliver a project within a specific division at CityFibre. You’ll get invaluable hands-on work experience, learning from our talented people whilst still adding real value to the business and helping us to transform communities across the UK.

We’re also offering a competitive salary which will be pro-rata across a six-week period.

What will you be doing?

Your primary focus for this placement will be to work with our Build Partners, internal reporting team and IT/Systems to create a mobile phone app that our Build Partners can access to report on sustainability data, e.g. fuel consumption, mileage and waste.

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll be on track for a 2:1 (or have already received this grade if you’re moving on to a Masters) in an environment related subject and have a genuine interest and passion for sustainability and the environment, with a desire to explore a career in this field.

It’s also important for you to have:

  • Data and information collation skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • A basic understanding of sustainability data
  • The ability to efficiently manage your time, working to deadlines
  • The ability to demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving

Our unique culture

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity, we believe everyone has a voice and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. Even though we come from different backgrounds and do different jobs, we’re united by The CityFibre Way - our unique code of behaviours that inspires how we think, act and work. We back each other, think smart and act fast, and we’re passionate about giving it our best to build a legacy together.
