Analytics and Interactions Placement

Lloyds Banking Group is looking to welcome individuals to its Industrial Placement programme within the Analytics and Interactions team – operating within our Chief Customer Office.

We’re redefining our approach to how we deliver our marketing and customer experience - embracing the latest technologies and digital channels to enhance the dynamism of our iconic brands. From seeking to understand people’s needs and perceptions, to the challenge of optimising customer engagement, this unique placement gives you the opportunity to get hands on with the vast array of data available to us, and work across some of Britain’s most iconic brands.

Within this role you'll learn and perform a wide range of data related tasks by using established procedures, supporting your team, and maintaining internal client relationships. You'll also be involved in understanding the ‘customer journey’ to enable assistance on a variety of projects involving cross-team collaboration. We'll provide you with a terrific platform for your career by gaining valuable insight into how data is used to develop strategy and drive positive change for our customers, and the functions and processes of a state-of-the-art marketing team.

The Analytics & Interactions team are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are looking to kick start their careers in both data analytics and the financial services sectors.

Key Attributes

A proven proficiency studying in analytical subjects, for example; maths, statistics, engineering, computer programming at undergraduate level would be preferable.

You'll be on course to achieve a 2:2 or better, and be in your penultimate year of university.

In addition to your academic achievements, you should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft (i.e. Excel) or other analytical tools
  • A keen interest in analytics. We’re a diverse team, but evidence of interest in any of consumer research, data analytics, marketing, or machine learning would be well received
  • Eagerness to learn and self-develop
  • Logical thinker/problem solver
  • Consistent record of achieving results (can be academic or personal)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work independently and exercise own initiative
  • Clear and effective communicator
