What are we looking for?

As the successful Sales Controlling Intern, you will be reporting to the Group Manager of Sales Controlling, this role will be a key support in providing reporting and analysis of the business performance. This position will deliver key information and develop reporting of sales performance through established reporting tool and systems.

In addition, there will be regular and ad hoc requirements for analysis to management and preparing presentations covering a variety of commercial, market and business topics.

The role will involve liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the business including: the sales force (Area and Regional Business Managers), sales directors, senior management, Category Managers, IT and colleagues in HQ.

Duties also include:

  • Providing Sales reporting and evaluation of company performance to key stakeholders. This will involve the use of internal and external data to provide meaningful and timely analysis to variety of stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive and logical analysis to assist with commercial business decisions in a complex matrix organisation. For example, evaluating turnover development trends by differing requirement: Brand, Channel, Product Division, Product Type and Customer).
  • Routine maintenance of the Sales Reporting systems and tools, including authorisations and new user set up, Partner Determination and communication to the business when interruptions occur.
  • Will be able to develop an understanding and knowledge to assist business areas with queries and training/advice on the best practice for the users of the Sales reporting tool (SALA/SAP BI/other sales reporting tools).
  • Work with global and local IT regarding sales reporting tools and possible developments and requests to push the systems in new directions to benefit the users and the business.
  • Review and develop existing reporting and processes, with a view of improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ad Hoc support to other members of the Sales controlling team
