Egress Software Technologies is now looking for a new Finance Placement!

  • Position: Finance Placement
  • Location: White Collar Factory, Old Street, London
  • Role Requirements: Second Year Undergraduate Student at a UK-based University, predicted a 2:1 or above in a Business/Finance related degree
  • Duration: 12 months, commencing Summer 2021
  • Salary: £18,000 per Annum

As Egress Software Technologies continues its path of exciting growth, we are offering the exceptional opportunity to join our Finance team. This candidate will be an undergraduate student looking to undertake a 12-month placement in our Finance department as part of their university degree, commencing Summer 2021.

What would I be doing as Finance Placement at Egress?

The successful candidate will gain a wide range of experience in financial management and business strategy. You will be a key member of a small finance team in a rapidly growing international software business. You will get the opportunity to be exposed to various areas within Finance.

This role will involve the following:

  • Forecasting and Planning – Helping to prepare financial forecasts, annual budget and three-year financial plans aligned to the company strategy
  • Business Performance Analysis – Providing analysis and insight to management based on the company’s comprehensive set up KPIs
  • Management Account and Reports – Preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and reports for management
  • Sales Ledger – Managing sales order processing, invoicing and credit control
  • Purchase ledger – Managing supplier invoices and employee expenses and preparing payment runs
  • Project work – Taking a lead role in a wide range of projects related to improving processes related to financial management and other aspects of commercial operations across the business such as sales forecasting, pricing etc.

Who is Egress looking for?

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic second year student at university who is studying in a UK based university, predicted a 2:1 or above in a Business/Finance related degree.

This role will suit you if:

  • You possess excellent numerical, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • You hold strong analytical skills that allow you to plan and work through problems in an orderly manner

To protect the wellbeing of our employees, our company policy states that all employees must live within a 90-minute commute or be willing to relocate for the year.

The role will be based at Egress’ headquarters in Old Street, London. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have implemented a number of working from home measures at Egress. Pre-pandemic, every Egress office is a fantastic place to work. Now, with remote working the ‘new normal’, we’ve made sure that we’ve kept the great office atmosphere, wherever you’re working.
