Industrial Placement Programme

£22,000
13 months duration (starting in July or August 2021)

Think there’s only one way into banking? Think again.

At the Bank of England, whilst we have a rich history, we’re certainly not stuck in the past. We’re not all about numbers and money either. We don’t hold accounts or issue loans to the public. Instead, we oversee the entire financial system and keep it going.

It’s serious stuff and we need a huge range of departments to help us do it successfully. You don’t need to be studying a degree in economics to join us for an industrial placement.

So what will you do?

You can apply for roles within the below areas with us.

  • Economist
  • Operations
  • Technology
  • Supervision
  • Data

Whatever you choose, you’ll work in a team and get involved in policy, research and operational work. You’ll also attend regular training and events with your fellow industrial placement colleagues. You just need to be studying a degree that allows you time out for a year in industry.

So whatever your qualifications and experience, there are lots of opportunities to join us. No matter the route you choose, we’ll value your perspectives and support you from day one.
