What you’ll do – you’ll get involved in virtually every stage of either developing new solutions or supporting and improving existing ones.
The majority of our interns will be based in IBM Hursley, near Winchester, the largest software lab in Europe. This location will give you exposure to a wide selection of projects and services and will enable you to gain a once in a lifetime experience.
We do have 1-2 roles in our other software labs including Manchester, Milton Keynes and Southbank, but please be aware 90% of the placement roles will be in IBM Hursley in Hampshire. Please ensure you are happy with this location prior to applying.
We will place you within a team where you will be working alongside developers, engineers who will be there to support and encourage and inspire you during your placement, During your 12 months we will encourage you to join in various projects (outside of your day job), hackathons, etc, this will help to build your network as well as your skills and experience during your internship.
Whilst you don’t need a specific degree background to apply, you do need to be hardworking, with plenty of energy and real passion for the areas of our business that you’re applying for. Never fear, if you haven’t studied IT, we’re all about the person, not about their background.
University Placements are for a minimum of 1 year and form part of your degree - normally prior to the final year of study.
