Operational Transactions Services Summer Internship

What is Operational Transaction Services at EY?

The Operational Transaction Services (OTS) team works on driving greater operational value from transactions and optimising our client's businesses. We work with private equity and corporate clients and guide them through the details involved in integrating, separating or restructuring parts of a their operations, all with the aim of minimising risk and maximising value.

What will you be doing?

  • Work on various project teams across the transaction life cycle (Integration, carve-out, operational and IT due diligence and operational restructuring)
  • Be given real responsibilities and lots of learning opportunities
  • Learning from industry experts across all sectors and service offerings
  • Understand what our Partners do - all of our summer interns will get to shadow a partner for a day

Are you eligible to apply?

You’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, and three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent. You'll also be in your penultimate year at uni (doing any degree course), or you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.

How’s it structured?

Be completely immersed in the world of work at EY with six weeks’ hands-on work experience. You’ll be exposed to real life transactions and get to play a part in shaping the future of companies.

After a company induction, you'll take part in a 2-day technical skills training session hosted by members of the OTS team, which will help you further understand what we do as well as teach you useful skills such as how to use Excel, Powerpoint and data analytics/visualisation tools for business purposes.

You'll be aligned to real client projects where you will work alongside team members and will be assigned a buddy and a counsellor who'll be looking after you throughout your time with us. In between work, we also like have fun - there will be socials and team events where you can meet the rest of the team.

At the end of the six weeks, if you are great at your job, you might even be fast-tracked into a graduate role, to start after you complete your degree.
