Technology Risk Summer Internship

What is Technology Risk at EY?

Modern organisations rely heavily on IT to support their business. We work directly with clients to help them assess their technology risk and control environment.

Alongside our Assurance colleagues we help clients protect their reputation by mitigating these business and IT risks.

What will you be doing?

  • Learning about EY, our clients and their businesses.
  • Help your team understand the IT landscape of some of our biggest clients.
  • Work on client projects and attend client meetings to identify risks, test controls and provide an opinion on the security of the clients IT environment.
  • Analysing data, liaising with clients and presenting your work.
  • Assist in the project management of client engagements.
  • Work closely with Assurance colleagues to identify and communicate risks affecting the financial audit.
  • Get involved with industry research and client thought leadership.
  • Support business development initiatives to help EY grow their client portfolio.

Are you eligible to apply?

You’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, and three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent. You'll also be in your penultimate year at university (in any subject) or, you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year.

Start your career journey

Join a supportive and inclusive culture, build your strengths and develop new business skills to set you on the right path in your career. Working on client projects, gain insight into our service offerings and become an integral part of our team. We are proud to have won several awards for being one of the best companies to work for.

How’s it structured?

During your first few days at the EY induction, you will learn about EY and Technology Risk. You'll then join a team and start working on client projects – just like our graduates. Throughout your time on the internship you will have the opportunity to shadow a partner, build a relationship with clients, support your team and work with your coach to agree career development goals. Your colleagues can help and teach you too, so ask lots of questions. If you do a great job, you could be offered a place on one of our graduate programmes to come back to, when you finish university.
