Assurance Virtual Summer Internship

Programme duration: 10-14th August 2020
Location: This programme is delivered virtually but you will be expected to be in the UK for the duration of the programme.

In your penultimate year of uni and want to get ahead in your career? Across this one-week virtual programme, you’ll gain exposure to EY and our people; including Talent Leaders and current graduates from the business. You’ll take part in structured and self-taught learning and gain a mentor to support you across the week too. What’s more- if you gain a successful offer, you’ll also be fast-tracked for a graduate interview, helping you to secure a graduate offer with us before your final year.

What is Assurance at EY?

Our Assurance teams analyse the data behind our clients’ businesses. As external auditors, they help companies and governments publish accurate financial accounts that their clients and industry regulators can rely on.

What will you be doing?

You’ll join a cohort in Assurance and start learning about the audit process, the scope of our clients’ businesses and the industries they’re a part of. You’ll also:

  • Gain exposure to EY and network virtually with colleagues from different levels of the business
  • Build your knowledge of our clients and how we support them
  • Take part in a specific service line case study
  • Develop core skills in Business writing, effective time management, client service and personal brand through structured learning and self-directed learning
  • Be supported by an EY mentor and Buddy across the week

If you secure an offer for an EY Summer Internship, you’ll also be fast tracked for a graduate interview for our 2021 intake, helping you to secure a job here after you graduate too.

Entry requirements

If you’re in your penultimate year at university (any degree course) or, if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you. You’ll also need to have obtained a minimum of Level 2 GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths as well as three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent.

Application note: The programme will take place virtually but if successful your Graduate offer will be based on your location preference, so you must select this as part of the application process. You must also be in the UK at the time of the programme.
