Nutrition Placement

What can you expect?

Nutrition is at the heart of everything we do! Health is a major priority for the Government, our customers and consumers and we are committed to supporting efforts to balance diets and promote responsible consumption.

This 12-month Nutrition Placement gives you the chance to take responsibility from day one and bring real nutritional expertise to our business. You’ll be involved in everything from engaging with our product and packaging teams to approving artwork and communications. You will be working across many of our categories including Food, Beverage, Confectionery and Nestlé Professional, with a team of Dietitians and Nutritionists.

You’ll be the person who approves labelling for nutritional content and engages in competitor benchmarking to see how Nestlé performs by contrast from a nutritional perspective. When recipes and products are being developed, you’ll be the one to analyse them for nutritional content. And, if there’s a newsletter to be written for our Employee Wellness Programme, you’ll be the one to write it.

It’s about assessing products against internal and external nutrient targets, developing comms that give valuable information on nutrition and delivering essential training for colleagues throughout the business. You’ll even have the chance to experience other functions and apply for available roles across the business when you graduate.

Who are we looking for?

This is a serious opportunity for second-year undergrads, studying Association for Nutrition accredited courses, to get a placement with one of the world’s biggest companies. You will be based near Gatwick, have the kind of initiative that will throw you into team work and have the confidence to make important decisions on your own. Acutely aware of current health and nutrition issues in the UK and Ireland, you’ll have what it takes to communicate those in your daily work – dedication, motivation and a brilliant way of putting yourself across.

You’ll already have done great things in your first two years at uni. Meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks and showing a genuine passion for what you do. A business networker, agile learner and resilient performer, you’ll be the kind of person who takes pride even, and especially, in the smallest details. Nutrition is a huge issue as well as an opportunity in the UK and you know it. So making sure the well-being of our people, products and consumers is a priority for the business is your number one priority – achieved through incredible teamwork, thoughtful resolutions and impactful communication.

Please note that you can only make one application per annual recruitment intake, so do take time to consider what’s going to suit you best. You must have the right to work in the UK.

Benefits

We’re committed to improving people’s lives in everything we do. And that includes our employees. We want you to love your job and to feel rewarded for the contribution you make, so you can expect a competitive salary, plus all sorts of benefits. These include an Annual Bonus (as long as you meet certain criteria); Shift Allowance (where applicable); Membership of the Nestlé UK or Nestlé Ireland Pension Fund; access to our Flexible Reward Scheme - where you can take advantage of the benefits that best suit you. And, if you work in our York or Gatwick Head Offices, you can even bring your four legged friend to work! Pretty good eh?
