Project Management Assistant Placement

We welcome enthusiasm and innovation to improve and challenge current methods and procedures.

As the year progresses you are given the opportunity to increase responsibility and autonomy to gain the most from your placement year.

As an Assistant Project Manager you will be part of a highly commited and driven project team, working directly on the Cable supply and installtion for an InterArray Windfarm in Europe. You will participate in the full life cycle of a live and complex project, where your input will be crucial to the succesful running of this project. The role will involve liaisons with both internal and external people and across a number of different functions. You are likely to be required to travel with team members to attend various meetings and gather progress information on the project from numerous sources.

Basic Tasks:

  • Gather reports from all departments in order to produce monthly reports
  • Attend internal/external meetings related to a particular project
  • Take and issue notes from all meetings
  • Manage Prysmian contractual requirement around Social Insertion Clause
  • Track the requirements and status of all project accessories
  • Monitor and regularly review financies/budgets for all the project accessories
  • Provide monthly report on these accessories
  • Liaise with internal/external procurment teams
  • Support Senior PM and PD where required
  • Support Installation manager with tracking and reporting on Project Documentation
  • You may on occassions need to travel abroad for project related meetings
  • Compile As-built documentation in accordance with contractual requirements
  • You may also undertake Project Administration tasks as instructed by the Head of Projects.

Who We Are Looking For?

An individual who has:

  • Self discipline
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports
  • Ability to communicate / present in a clear and logical manner
  • General computer skills essential with knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Ability to organise workload and to manage filing methods and management techniques.
  • The ability to speak/understand French is desirable but not essential

We will expect a professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn and take initiative.
