Wireless System Engineer Placement

Join Intel's Network Custom Logic Architecture Team (NCLG) and work alongside world class experts to help shape and build 5G - the latest generation of mobile wireless networks.

Within the role you will work across the range of our system architecture activities; from the use of models to investigate deployed networks, the behaviour of wireless physical layer algorithms, to optimizing these on the latest CPUs. By the end of the placement you will have participated in complex, multi-person projects, developed a good understanding of wireless communication systems and have taken responsibility for specific deliverables.

It's not all work, the Swindon site has a sports and social club, regular great place to work events and hosts 40/50 interns annually.

Please apply with CV and Cover letter and we will get back to candidates in late January with the results of their applications.

This is a 13 month fixed-term placement suitable for students currently studying for a BEng or MEng with an industrial placement year in subjects such as Computer Science, Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.

The wireless architecture team members have a diverse set of skills. If you have an interest and good grades in some of the following University modules you are likely to be a suitable candidate for the role; MATLAB, Signal Processing, Computer Architecture, Signals and Systems, Computer Systems, Programming (C, C++, Python) or Mathematics. The modules you have taken will depend on your chosen degree, but whatever your skills you will be willing to take initiative, and show dedication for your assigned work.
