What is the Technology Internship Scheme?
The eight weeks is an immersive dive into the technology world of our business including business lead insight sessions to provide a wide base of exposure within the company in both investment and technology. Each intern will have a buddy from our graduate cohort who will provide informal support and promote integration with our M&GPrudential family. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend networking and social events which are essential for promoting the work life balance encouraged.
What will you do?
You will learn from our industry leading professionals and will be encouraged to present your own views and ideas. Interns at M&GPrudential make valuable contributions to the teams they work in and will be involved in a variety of tasks. The nature of the work will vary dependent on the team that you are placed, but through collaboration with your assigned manager there is always opportunity to tailor the internship to things that you already enjoy while remaining open to new and exciting areas on offer at M&GPrudential.
We are organised in multi-disciplined agile teams aligned to our Investment capabilities: Investment Data, Investment Process, Investment Office Solutions, Dealing and Execution, Derivatives and New Instruments, Operational Platform, Risk and Performance, Regulation and Controls and Data Platform. You’ll be working closely with team members from other disciplines, such as analysts and scrum masters, estimating stories and planning out work, and participating in design and architecture solutioning.
Your time with us will give you the opportunity to be exposed to a broad and interesting technology stack primarily based in the cloud. This internship can further your career path and allow you to find your specialism which could be within automated testing, engineering or dev-ops and much more. You will be a part of a close-knit team focused on agile, continuous improvement, and secure high-quality software delivery.
We have a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, and we work closely with the teams we support to understand how technology solutions can best support our growth ambitions and are delivered promptly. Having recently implemented Aladdin (the largest programme we have ever delivered and one of the largest in the City) we are now working towards building an efficient, scalable technology platform for our future growth, including replacing our older technology and simplifying our architecture.
Team placements are determined on skill sets identified during the recruitment process, business needs and individual interests.
Throughout the scheme you will be assessed with a view to making 2021 Technology Graduate Scheme offers upon completion of the programme.

We are unable to provide sponsorships for internships. However, if you’re in full-time education in the UK under the Tier 4 (General) category, current regulations may permit you to take on temporary employment during holiday periods or as part of your studies.
