Porsche Retail Group Finance Placement
Job Purpose:
To collate & post the daily centre banking sheets and reconcile the transactions with funds received in the bank. Assisting & supporting the Group Credit controller with day-to-day tasks.
Core Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for 5 Retail Centre’s daily banking:
- Daily processing of the Centre cash sheets
- Ensuring correct & accurate information is recorded on cash sheets.
- Liasing with centre personnel to resolve any banking issues
- Reconciliation of the daily PDQ payments into the bank with the centre cash
- eets.
- Preparation and processing of twice weekly bank journal upload
- Training Centre personnel on cash sheet & banking procedures & processes
- Archiving all centre banking files at the end of the month
Time Frame: Daily tasks throughout internship
Supporting the Sales Ledger:
- Weekly clearing down of contra items in Cash Suspense
- Investigating & reconciling outstanding items in cash suspense & deposit till
- counts
- Preparing daily cheques received for the bank & posting to the relevant account.
- Sending out monthly debtor statements
- Dealing with adhoc customer & centre’s telephone queries
- Processing warranty claims & ensuring they match the importer self-billed invoices
- Provide cover for the Bank Intern and Sales Ledger Controller during their absence
- Documenting & implementing process improvements with Credit controller
Time Frame: Daily & weekly tasks throughout internship
Supporting the Management Accountant:
- Preparation and submission of European Commission sales list
Time Frame: Monthly and Quarterly throughout internship
Core Accountabilities:
- To understand and assist in the delivery of Business Strategy and Objectives
- Take ownership for personal development needs in anticipation of Business requirements
- Contribute fully within the team, ensuring the right environment is maintained
- Ensure the appropriate level of management control and system exploitation is applied to all relevant systems
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
We offer a competitive salary, 27 days holiday, daily food allowance and a bus pass in the Reading area.
Those who pass the first stage will be offered a telephone interview on either 11 or 12 April. The final stage of the process will be an assessment centre on 25 April, after which the successful candidate will be notified.

Required Qualifications:
- Finance/Accounting undergraduate seeking a placement in industry for their 3rd year of study
Required IT-skills:
- Strong Excel Skills
Required language knowledge:
- Strong English spoken/written skills to be able to communicate quickly and efficiently in a work environment.
