Digital Industrial Placement

All positions have the following attributes:

  • 52 week contract (typically July 2019 – July 2020)
  • £14,500 (plus £3,000 London Weighting Allowance)

About the Role

  • 12 month placement position
  • Based in Shoreditch, London
  • Reports to Product Director
  • This placement is for second-year undergraduates only

Job Purpose

  • To support McDonald’s Corporation Global Product Team to deliver new products and features into markets
  • Support the International Lead Markets in adopting new products and features
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to understand and deliver against business objectives

Main Responsibilities

  • Product management
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Gather and document requirements
  • Liaise with Market Digital teams across multiple time zones
  • Support the Product Director and Senior Product Manager in managing the global product backlog
  • Work with the global intake team to ensure that requests are accepted and progressed through the intake process
  • Work with markets and capability teams to ensure requirements are correctly recorded and developed
  • Work closely with the Product Design Lead to ensure that requirements are properly understood and designs fulfil the requirements
  • Other Adhoc tasks

Internal

  • Global Digital Team and other Departments within the London Office
  • Market Digital teams
  • Global Digital, Design and IT teams in Chicago, Singapore and Brazil

External

  • Occasional meetings with Agencies and Suppliers

Knowledge and Experience

  • Adaptable with a positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to be flexible and work with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage tasks simultaneously
  • A Strong level of IT proficiency with an understanding of agile project management tools and practices
  • A strong interest in developing product development and management skills in a global company
