The challenge

Siemens in Monkton are the hub that co-ordinates the sales activities for the Protection and Control products portfolio within the Digital Grid business. We have a wide range of solutions which are sold within the UK to a diverse customer base.

We are looking for ambitious candidates with business/marketing background to develop and support our on-line B2B sales platform for our products, working closely with our sales managers, product promoters and in-house applications team to promote our products to customers.

A key target for 2019 is the growth of the product business and this role is seen as a key enabler for this to be achieved. Here’s some of the activities that you will be working on:

  • Involvement in sales campaigns and marketing activities to build a detailed picture of the UK market and identify key areas of focus, which will involve meeting Key customer accounts with the Sales Managers
  • You’ll get to work on product launches and promotions, organising the event and taking part in the activities, so it’s essential that you feel confident working as part of a team.
  • Development and delivery of customer training programmes for the sales platform as new accounts are rolled out to the marketplace
  • Champion the new Siemens CRM tool which is due to be released in late 2019.

The candidate

Here’s what it takes to join some of the world’s brightest minds-

  • Working towards a 2:2 or above in a Business or Marketing/Digital Marketing Degree
  • A highly motivated person with a ‘can do’ attitude who is results orientated and has a positive approach to work.
  • Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills with the confidence to communicate at all levels.
  • Proficient with IT packages, specifically MS Excel & PowerPoint

Location

Whilst the role is based in Monkton, there will be opportunities to travel throughout the UK with the Sales Team and also receive training in Manchester.
