You’ll work on projects which will allow you to broaden your expertise and discover which area of technology you enjoy the most. You’ll be eager to learn and keen to throw yourself into a variety of projects. Some of the teams you may join are Investment Technology, Distribution & Product Technology, Digital, IT Infrastructure, Information Security and more.

Group Change:

Group Change sits at the heart of the business. We’re responsible for ensuring change management across the business. This can involve anything from looking at how to improve efficiencies in existing processes to acting as an internal consultant providing advice and guidance to the wider business. You’ll be strong communicator, have a keen interest in Technology and keen to throw yourself into a variety of projects.

Distribution:

Our Distribution teams manage our relationships with clients and help grow our business. So we’re after people with strong communication skills who want to keep us ahead of our competitors. You’ll need an inquisitive mind and an appetite for challenge, together with the tenacity and analytical ability to deliver the best service for our clients.

Product:

This team works on creating new products (e.g. funds) for our clients. Our job is to outperform our competitors by designing and developing innovative products that to suit our clients' needs. You'll be happy working with colleagues from across the business and building relationships, but we also need someone who is actively interested in learning about the markets and help shape our strategies.

The Programme

Our 2019 Summer Internship Programme starts on Monday 24th June 2019 and runs for 8 weeks ending on Friday 16th August 2019. This Programme will provide you with a unique introduction into the investment management industry and how our different departments operate within it. You’ll be given introductory training and opportunities to network with people across the business.

Over eight weeks, you’ll enjoy a range of training in technical and interpersonal skills, as well as being given the opportunity to work on live projects and shadow senior executives. It’s the kind of learning that will stand you in good stead throughout your future career.

We invest in our Internship programme to make it one of the best around.

You’ll experience challenging work, with real responsibility on projects that will influence our business. One of these will involve working with other interns and presenting the results to senior managers.

Just as important, you’ll have the chance to build a valuable network of contacts – from other interns to highly experienced employees. In fact, our ‘lunch and learn sessions’ give you the opportunity to discuss possible directions for your future career with senior managers.

What you’ll be like

  • Intellectually inquisitive - be passionate and curious about technology, investment management and global trends
  • Innovative, creative and analytical – you’re happy to think outside the box and look for a fresh perspective
  • Flexible, open minded and happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects
