Systems Engineering Placement

Delivering reliable, safety-critical technology to hundreds of clients across the globe is no small feat. But in Rolls-Royce Control Systems, it’s something our Systems Engineers do every day. For undergraduates looking to get hands-on experience, an internship here is a chance to be involved in revolutionary work – work that you can be truly proud of.

The programme

Lasting for 12 months, our Systems Engineering Internship Programme is the perfect way to develop a deeper understanding of our world-class business and how you can achieve your ambitions with us. Perform well, and you could have the chance to join our graduate development programme – this could be a fantastic start to a career with one of the world’s most prestigious international companies. And if you’re a student member of an institute, experience gained on your internship can be used to credit some of your learning towards your graduate programme and chartership status if you choose to join us.

What you’ll do

As part of our team of talented Systems Engineers, you’ll hit the ground running and start delivering cutting-edge, safety-critical technology to highly demanding customers worldwide. You could also be involved in helping to develop the next generation of Control System Architectures. Throughout the year, you’ll learn from, and be supported by, the best in the business as you gain practical experience and develop valuable skills. You’ll also undertake real-life assignments that will test you like never before.

What you’ll need

We want to see great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience – academically, socially and in any previous work situations. You should also be on course to achieve at least a 2:1 BEng or equivalent. Flexibility is a must as you could be based in any of our UK sites.

What you’ll get

  • £17,850 pa (pro rata)
  • Learn from experts
  • The chance to join our graduate programme if you perform well
