Multi Asset Summer Internship

Spend your summer finding out how our Multi Asset team deliver outcome-focused investment solutions.

What do we do? It’s important that a fund makes a return on the initial investment. Our job is to research and decide on the best markets and funds to invest in, whether it be a Fidelity fund or that of another asset manager.

  • Research Markets. Our top-down research approach looks at macroeconomics and market knowledge to help guide investment decisions.
  • Research funds. Through analysis we make recommendations on which strategies are worth investing in.
  • Create funds of funds. Marrying research from different sources and creating funds of funds for a lower-risk investment.

What will I be doing? Over the course of an 8-week programme, you’ll learn how different asset classes behave. If you show promise and improvement over the course of the summer, you could be offered a place on our graduate programme.

  • Understand funds. You’ll talk to fund managers and sit in on meetings to help you understand how funds are rated and what questions need to be asked to make firm judgements.
  • Research. You’ll conduct research and attend meetings with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to discuss recent economic data releases and policy announcements.
  • Presenting information. At the end of your internship, you’ll be asked to present research findings to the investment team.

What we look for. We look for intelligent, quick-thinking students with a keen interest in the industry. For that reason, we take on people from all degree disciplines.

You will have a minimum of ABB at A-Level and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification and be in your penultimate year of university.
