Actuarial Summer Internships
Enjoy a summer earning while you learn how EY’s Actuarial teams help different types of insurance companies set and meet their business goals. You’ll not only get a feel for the business world with on-the-job experience, but also opportunities to meet influential experts and gain new skills that will shape the rest of your career.
What is Actuarial at EY?
Our fast-changing world can create lots of opportunity for insurance businesses, but it also creates new risks. We help our clients identify these risks by carrying out complex calculations, asking the right questions, setting priorities and creating action plans for success.
What will you be doing?
Working in Actuarial, you’ll join either our General Insurance or Life Insurance teams and start contributing to real client projects alongside our teams and Partners. Before too long, you’ll be doing similar work to our graduates, which could include:
- Analysing data and writing reports
- Contributing towards proposals for new business pitches
- Using modelling and analysis techniques to understand clients’ businesses
- Communicating with local and global clients and presenting your work
You’ll have plenty of support from your team and if you do a great job you could be offered a place on one of our graduate programmes to come back to, when you finish uni.
If you’re in your penultimate year at uni (doing any degree course) or, you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.
