Oracle + Dyn Rotation Placement

Oracle’s Dyn is looking for an intern to join their EMEA team for a 12-month period starting in 2018.

Working closely with the sales, marketing and customer success teams, the intern will have excellent verbal and written communication skills together with the organisational ability to support the EMEA region in go-to-market and customer service activities.

The twelve-month internship, will be split into 3 segments where the intern will work in 3 functional areas of the business:

  • Sales and Lead Development
  • Marketing
  • Customer Success

You will gain hands-on experience from day one and will be working on a variety of projects that will provide broad experience of business-to-business sales, marketing, demand generation and customer success in a fast-paced technology company.

What you will learn

  • How B2B technology sales and marketing programmes/campaigns are built, monitored and managed
  • How a lead generation team works and how they assist sales in day-to-day practices How to track, measure and report sales and marketing impact and ROI
  • How to develop and roll out targeted outbound sales and marketing campaigns
  • How to interact with customers throughout the customer lifecycle using different communication tools and strategies
  • How to manage and report on sales and marketing pipeline and forecast sales revenue Key processes for managing customer growth, changes, requests and issues
  • How to profile and target relevant customer segments and personas for future marketing and sales campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with a range of business applications that support the sales, marketing and customer service functions (marketing automation tools, CRM and prospecting tools)

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support of the sales, marketing and customer success functions in the region
  • Monitoring marketing generated leads ensuring that leads are attributed and distributed to front-line sales teams
  • Measuring sales and marketing ROI for all programs and keeping up-to-date records on marketing performance
  • Assist in the planning and execution of physical and digital events (webinars and events)
  • Assist in creating innovative outbound sales and marketing campaigns including targeting, segmenting and messaging
  • Working closely with the sales, marketing and customer success teams to monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance
  • Assist in understanding ongoing customer needs and delivering solutions aligned to these
  • Working closely with social media teams to deliver compelling social outreach
  • Supporting teams in the management of the customer lifecycle
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting in line with the objectives of the teams and wider business within region
  • Provide general administrative and support duties in line with the changing needs of the business
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and security regarding our customers' accounts, assigned company equipment, and company systems
  • The intern will also have an opportunity to develop their own innovative programmes that directly result in sales, marketing and customer success impact.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree student going into their final year in 2018 – strong academic record and on track for a 2:1 or a First
  • Knowledge and keen interest in computer and internet technology
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and tenacious with a “can do” attitude
  • High attention to detail and strives for excellence
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical orientation with the ability to deliver insights and analyse alternative solutions
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Team player and equally able to take initiative and develop own plans
