Technical Operations, Managed Services Placement

The challenge

Are you an undergraduate who demonstrates a strong academic record? Are you eager to apply your technical skillset to support Adobe's drive into the clouds? Are you looking to get a lot of practical experience in supporting cutting-edge solutions from a market leader?

The Adobe Managed Services team are responsible for the partnership between Adobe and our Strategic clients, driving value realization and return on the client's investment. We run and manage some of the biggest 24/7/365 transactional web properties in the world for our clients. We support over 10000 cloud virtual servers, 15PB of data and process over 1 million requests per second.

What you'll do

  • Deliver high quality support to the Managed Services customer facing team with technical tasks for our customer base
  • Help us continue to automate and improve our monitoring deployments (Nagios/Splunk/NewRelic)
  • Contribute to our overall automation efforts by converting manual processes to hands off solutions
  • Review processes and workflows to identify meaningful improvements
  • Help us build out our machine learning framework to analyse system data and provide real time, predictive analytics to support event management and auto-scaling/healing

What you need to succeed

  • Have a passion for technical solutions and automation
  • Drive to engage with senior technical engineers and architects on technical subjects
  • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Willingness to bring your ideas to the table and challenge existing processes

Skill Requirements:

  • Comfortable using Linux command line (RedHat)
  • Solid infrastructure understanding (networking/name services/storage/security)
  • Bash / python / ruby scripting
  • Bonus points for:
    • Java programming / troubleshooting
    • Front end (Javascript/html/css)
    • Cloud (AWS/Azure)
    • Machine learning experience

Important things to know:

  • 12 month placement
  • Must be part way through your Undergraduate degree.
  • Full training programme covering both technical and cultural aspects of Adobe is provided
  • Successful candidates will be subject to standard background check.
  • Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire
