Procurement Placement

The global procurement team looks after critical high-end technologies and working cross-category on projects from start to finish. From sourcing high quality materials and finished components with demanding specifications, to managing contracts and suppliers, our procurement team impact the designs of our machines and the growth ambitions of the business.

On this 12-month placement, you’ll be trusted to use your initiative to drive ideas forward whilst developing an understanding of Dyson and how our global procurement team operates. Some of your responsibilities may include researching suppliers for new technologies, ensuring competitive supplier costs, being part of transformation projects and managing your own category of suppliers. We’ll rely on you to play a vital role in the team so you’ll be a self-starter with the ability to work across disciplines, challenge convention and look for new/different ways of doing things.

About You

You’ll need to be academically strong, graduating in 2020 and on track for a 2.1 or higher in an engineering or business-related degree, with strong numeracy and communication skills and a minimum of 300 UCAS points gained over three core A-Level subjects. Experience of working in a dynamic environment and stakeholder management is a bonus, but attitude is more important to us. Demonstrate your proactive, enthusiastic nature, showing how you can deliver under pressure through your studies, work experience or extra-curricular activities – we’ll show you the rest.
