Asset Management Summer Internship Programme 2018

Our Internship programme is designed to nurture talent and develop individuals who have the potential to go on to become graduate trainees. We will provide you with a comprehensive training programme which includes workshops on asset management. During your time with us you will be paired with a ‘buddy’ who will act as an informal support contact. You will also be invited to networking and social events and will have the opportunity to get actively involved with our corporate responsibility programme.

Placements will run from June 2018 for 10 weeks and will be full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Roles are on offer in Front Office teams - Equities, Fixed Interest - Credit and Multi Asset - as well as Sales, Marketing and Proposition. Roles will not be rotated, this has been designed to provide an intimate experience of the day-to-day operations of the team that you will join.

You do not need to have studied a finance related degree to apply; we are looking for candidates who fit with our culture, have strong numeracy skills, the ability to think both analytically and critically about problems, have great communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

You will need to be:

  • Enrolled on an undergraduate degree and in your penultimate year of study
  • On track to receive a minimum of a 2:1 degree in any subject area. (Please note you will need to have a good level of maths to join the investment teams, this will be tested as part of your application)
  • Be able to show a keen interest in asset management and a growing knowledge of the industry
