It’s incredibly complex work, driven by a simple vision. Everything we do is directed towards making life that little bit simpler for our customers.

Renewables Innovation – Summer Placement

We’re committed to renewable energy at E.ON. With finite resources available to us, it not only makes business sense, it’s kind to the environment and sustainable too. Joining the Technology and Innovation team – and working on Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) within E.ON – you’ll help identify value-adding opportunities for innovation projects of the future.

What you’ll do

  • Investigating and assessing innovative new generation technologies
  • Helping with engineering design evaluation activities for new technologies, concepts and test sites
  • Developing software
  • Getting involved with ideas generations, workshops and communications
  • Helping to manage our project portfolio, including the development and application of project management technologies.

This placement could well prepare you for a future with us. Shine and we may fast-track you to the last stage of assessment for one of engineering and/or analysis schemes. Equally, with the chance to explore our business whilst you’re here, you never know what other career opportunities it could lead to.

What we’re looking for

  • You’re working towards a 2:1 in engineering or physical sciences, computer science or mathematics.
  • You understand the basic concepts of engineering and physical science.
  • You’re passionate about renewable energy and new technologies.
  • You’ll need to be entrepreneurial in spirit and inquisitive, self-driven and flexible.
