As Egress Software Technologies continues its path of exciting growth, we are offering an exceptional opportunity for Undergraduates to take part in a 12-month placement in our Finance department as part of your university degree.

Finance Placement

You will be part of our Finance team for a 12-month placement. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will gain a wide range of experience in Financial Management and Business Strategy by being a key member of a small finance team in a rapidly growing international software company. You will get the opportunity to be exposed to various areas within Finance.

The role is based in our Head-Quarter offices in London and will involve the following:

• Forecasting and Planning: Helping to prepare financial forecasts, annual budget and three-year financial plans aligned to the company strategy
• Business Performance Analysis: Providing analysis and insight to management based on the company’s comprehensive set up KPIs
• Management Account and Reports: Preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and reports for management
• Sales Ledger: Managing invoicing and credit control processes
• Purchase ledger: Managing supplier invoices and employee expenses and preparing payment runs
• Project work: Taking a lead role in a wide range of projects related to improving processes related to financial management and other aspects of commercial operations across the business such as sales forecasting, pricing etc.

The role will start in Summer 2018 and will last 12 months.

Would I suit this role?

This position is for a current second year student at university based in the UK who is working towards a 2:1 in a Business/Finance related degree.

• You will have a drive to pursue a career in Finance
• Possess excellent numerical, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Hold strong analytical skills that allow you to plan and work through problems in an orderly manner
• Strong administration and interpersonal skills.
