As Egress Software Technologies continues its path of exciting growth, we are offering an exceptional opportunity for undergraduates to take part in a 12-month placement in our in-house Marketing department as part of your university degree.

Marketing Placement

For the third successful year, our UK Marketing Department is looking to hire a Marketing Placement Student, who will be based in our headquarters in London. You will gain immediate exposure to a varied number of marketing principles and functions including campaigns, events, press and more general communications.

This placement would give the successful candidate responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day delivery of the overall UK Marketing Plan
  • Day-to-day support of the company CRM database system, ensuring it is accurately maintained with the latest customer, partner and prospect data, uploading new contacts, and reporting on campaign ROI
  • Supporting the delivery of a range of direct marketing and event-based projects, including;
  • Direct and e-marketing campaigns, including market research, content creation, helping to compile target lists and managing campaign follow up
  • Support on social media strategy including content creation and measurement of success again pre-defined KPIs (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn)
  • End-user events and seminars, industry trade shows and channel exhibitions. Handling event logistics, venue sourcing, delegate registration and event follow up
  • Reporting on relevant marketing areas, including invoice tracking and expenditure of budget
  • General marketing administration duties, including competitor and market trend research, collateral printing, and speaking to external third-party suppliers
  • Deliver reporting and analysis of the campaigns and projects during and after campaigns to ensure that marketing is focused on providing strong returns.

This role will be based in our London office commencing in Summer 2018 and will last 12 months.

If you manage to impress us throughout the duration of your placement year, it is possible you could be offered a permanent Graduate position.

Would I suit this role?

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic second year student studying at a UK based university and be predicted a 2:1 or above in a Marketing, Business related or English degree. 

  • You will have a drive to pursue a career in Marketing
  • Possess a natural communication style in verbal and written English
  • The ability to use initiative to plan and be proactive in the role
  • Work accurately at a fast pace with great attention to detail
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in Marketing is desirable but not essential.
