UKI Sales Placement

The Agile Management Sales Team in UKI is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts and establishing new opportunities for Project & Portfolio Management and Agile Central solutions which both fall under the Agile Management business unit. The UKI Sales Intern role involves actively participating in the Sales lifecycle to support Field Sales Solution Specialists in building pipeline and generating leads to support the meeting of new business sales targets. As a Sales Intern you’ll experience customer facing strategic solution selling at its best and will be a vital engine to the success of the Sales organisation. You’ll also be attending customer meetings, along with an experienced Account Manager into some of the biggest UK, International and Global companies.

As a new Sales associate your goal will be to understand the value proposition, sales plays and positioning with a main goal to: understand the market we operate in, identify opportunities by profiling and mapping accounts, generate quality and qualified leads, launch and take part in demand generation campaigns and build extended awareness via social selling. You will proactively go out and find business opportunities and help nurture interest via a multitude of mediums and assets which will be made available to you.

What you will learn

  • The art of social selling – tried and tested techniques to successful solution selling
  • The ‘Challenger’ Sales Methodology, as well as several other sales skills
  • The end to end sales lifecycle from demand generation to customer success
  • Use of core business tools such as, Salesforce.com, Power BI, LinkedIn, RainKing, Discovery.org, Twitter and more
  • Analysis of business challenges to propose the appropriate solution via the best platform
  • Successful cold-calling techniques and how to apply them to generate awareness and interest in products
  • To be at the very forefront of Sales and experience selling from the ground up within a global leader in enterprise software solutions
  • How to be proficient in selling a market leading PPM solution as qualified by industry analysts, the Gartner Magic Quadrant and IDC

The ideal candidate

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Ideally studying towards a degree in Business Management, Technology, Marketing etc.
  • Is considering a career in IT software Sales and is looking to gain vital experience
  • Driven, focused, motivated self-starter
  • Willing to learn and hard working
  • Happy to work alone or as part of a team
  • Outgoing and social with good networking skills
  • Good understanding of business and corporate culture
  • IT Savvy
  • Strong desire and ability to undertake social selling via established social media channels
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Have strong communication skills - ability to interact well across a diverse team and with senior business leaders
  • A keen interest in technology and how it is shaping everyday lives
