OutOfOffice.com Sales & Marketing Assistant

This job is an opportunity to join an exciting, young and innovative travel startup and by joining early in our journey you will have the opportunity to learn, grow and develop within the business.

Job requirements

You will be working in a fast paced and challenging role liaising between clients and suppliers to book all elements of a customer’s tailor-made holiday as well as organising and being responsible for content on the OutOfOffice.com website.

Role to include, but not limited to:

  • Manage the OutOfOffice.com social media accounts - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Write unique and interesting blog and website content
  • Act in a professional and efficient manner to phone and email enquiries
  • Engage the customer, via phone or email, in order to ascertain the client’s needs, budget and offer suggestions as to the perfect destination and itinerary
  • To communicate with the various reservations departments at specific venues in order to check availability and discuss availability
  • To follow up with customers, venues and other third parties to close sales and take payment
  • Use initiative to up-sell and cross-sell other products to the customer
  • Achieve high levels of customer service at all times to encourage repeat business
  • Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of destinations, the product and the best venues and experiences
  • Communicate effectively with customers from the start of their enquiry with OutOfOffice.com through to their return from their trip to ensure a smooth and successful journey
  • Participation in networking and industry related events as required, including on occasion, some evenings and weekends
  • Other additional administration duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • Working towards a related Degree which accommodates a year in Industry

Required Experience

  • Although not essential, any previous work experience gained in a fast paced office or sales environment would be advantageous
  • A keen interest / knowledge of various worldwide travel destinations
  • Strong familiarisation with MS Word, Excel and various Social Media platforms
  • Possess an excellent eye for detail
  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • Hard working but with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Must be able to work quickly and effectively to deadlines
