IT Trainee BI Analyst

This year another opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual studying a Software Engineering related course to join the IT Department.

The major areas of development within the period of the placement will be:

• Exposure to new technologies and skills.
• Contribution to reporting design and support, production of report design and support documentation as required
• Report development in SAP BEx Query Designer, SAP BusinessObjects, data visualisation and dashboard tools
• Regular interaction with end users and stakeholder management
• Supporting delivery of end user training
• Use of testing management tools and documenting testing outcomes

Skills

Knowledge of database structure and business intelligence concepts, an understanding of testing methodologies and stakeholder management techniques would be an advantage.

You need to be self-motivated and analytical, a confident communicator, organised and able to work in a structured environment with challenging deadlines. You will be expected to manage conflicting priorities to the end users satisfaction and to have the ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt your current skills to the differing scenarios you will come across.

With the increasing growth of Howdens and the requirement to provide a class A service to our customers, you can be sure of a diverse workload.

The interview process may consist of a Telephone Interview, Aptitude Test, Face to Face Interviews.
