Marketing Placement - Roche Centralised Solutions
Starting in the Summer 2017, for a 12-month period, we are giving one Marketing or Business Management undergraduate/graduate the opportunity for a marketing student placement within the Marketing Department of Roche Centralised Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join the largest division within Roche Diagnostics, where your contribution will drive improvement in healthcare across the UK and Ireland.
Roche Centralised Solutions products give over 300,000 people in the UK and Ireland critical information about their health every day. By building successful partnerships with laboratories, we provide the fast and reliable results needed for life-changing decisions. Our pioneering technologies help prevent, predict and diagnose disease. We help patients be in control of their chronic conditions, we enable them and their physicians to monitor their treatment to transform their lives.
The Role
Based at our state-of-the-art site in Burgess Hill (15 minutes by train from Brighton), as Marketing Intern you will be a part of our Centralised Solutions marketing team responsible for identifying, anticipating and exceeding customer expectations. Reporting to the Market Manager this role involves working with our passionate team to uncover needs, build a deeper understanding of our market and deliver innovative campaigns to grow our business.
We are looking to recruit a talented individual with the drive, ambition and competency to take on-board this demanding role where they will be responsible for:
- Conducting market research
- Implementing marketing tactics
- Developing internal and external creative content
- Optimising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
- Monitoring of brand compliance

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to bring a self-motivated and analytical mind-set, be able to plan, prioritise, set and meet deadlines. We are looking for an undergraduate/graduate in Marketing or Business Management with a passion for science and improving healthcare.
You will be a strong communicator and able to work independently and within a team. You will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and external partners. You are courageous in both decision and action, with an inquiring mind that thinks ahead for the next question and challenges the status quo.
In addition, you will be computer literate with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
Assessment Centre date is Friday 17th March 2017 (in Burgess Hill).
